2021 Summit County Democrats Organizing Convention – May 18th 6PM

The Summit County Democrats have scheduled our 2021 Organizing convention for May 18th at 6 PM. The event will take place remotely, with details for the online event to come soon.

What is an organizing convention?

During odd-numbered years, we hold an “organizing convention”. During an Organizing Convention, we elect the leaders for the county party for the next two years, and approve any suggested changes to our platform and bylaws.

Who will be elected at the organizing convention?

We will be electing all of our party officers, including :

  • Chair
  • Vice Chairs for each area
    • North Summit
    • South Summit
    • Park City Area
    • Snyderville Area
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • State Committeeman and State Committeewoman

Who gets to vote at convention?

Only our precinct-level delegates elected in 2020 get to vote for these roles at convention. If you were elected as a delegate in 2020, your name will be here : Caucus Day 2020 Results.

If you’d like to run for one of these roles :

We will be accepting nominations for these roles up to ONE WEEK before convention. That means you must let us know if you intend to run for one of these roles by 6 PM on May 11th. To let us know you intend to run for one of these roles, please email us at info@scdems.org.
