Precinct 15 – Peoa Delegate Candidate Statements

Lola Beatlebrox

I have lived in Brown’s Canyon, Peoa for 20 years. I am an active member of South Summit School District Community Committee 2, a Board member of Park City Sunrise Rotary, and past chair of the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board. I’ve taught at the North Summit Elementary School, the Utah Olympic Park, Recycle Utah, Park City Museum, and EATS (Eat Awesome Things at School). I want to serve as a delegate again because we need Councilors who listen, who understand the interdependent needs of both sides of the County, who analyze challenges thoroughly, and build coalitions. Yes, I know which candidates I support, but I want to hear who you support; and share with you how I’ve evaluated the strengths of each candidate.

Cindy Levine

I have lived in Park City for over 20 years. I am an activist in the community and a small business owner. I am a proud board member of CONNECT Summit County, Elmers Helpers and most recently the Park City Institute. I produced the Women’s March in 2016 and again in 2017 shedding light on important federal and state issues. I am an organizer who can be counted on to elevate information, events and upcoming legislation. I spend a lot of time working on bringing the community together through panel discussions and film to help build awareness on important topics such as the opioid crisis and the stigma that encapsulates addiction and mental health. I want to serve as a delegate because I feel it’s important our county council maintains a level-headed experienced leadership combined with a balance of representation. I do know who I plan on supporting but of course would welcome phone calls from my precinct to discuss how and why I have chosen to endorse specific candidates. Please feel free to email me at

Karri Walzer

My name is Karri Hays-Walzer and I have been a resident of Summit County for 50 years. I have been a resident of Peoa for the last seven years. I am a former Park City Planning Commissioner, was directly involved with the creation of the Recycle Utah and have been closely involved with several other major non-profits in Summit County including Mountain Town Music. My number one goal as a resident of this county is to build bridges between the diverse and concerned residents of this area. Listening and understanding the needs of ALL those who live in this beautiful area, no matter when you moved here, are what I do best. Peoa, Oakley and the Kamas Valley harbor some of the richest aquafers in this state, providing water to not only Park City and the surrounding area but also to our neighbors up north. Opinions surrounding development in this valley are contentious to say the least. Preserving our quality of life and the water that sustains us is crucial. My aim is to bridge the gap between the West and the South of our county.
