What is County Convention?

This year county convention will consist only of dropping off a ballot at a location to yet be determined on April 2nd. We will have more details about locations shortly.

County Convention is normally an event that takes place at a school or other venue within Summit County every year.  At the convention, we vote on the nomination of local candidates, choose party leaders, and take care of party business such as updates to the constitution and bylaws.  This year, because of the situation with COVID-19, county convention will be much simpler, and we will simply be voting on our candidates for County offices.  On April 1, all county delegates will receive an email from us with a ballot you can print out, fill out, and drop off at a location that will be specified and communicated closer to April 2.

County Delegates elected this year (2020) will serve a 2-year term, so they will be able to vote at county convention in both 2020 and 2021.
