CONSIDERING GOING DEMOCRATIC?

Or do you know someone curious about joining Summit County Democrats?

Maybe you have been disillusioned by your party or by your inability to participate in meaningful action as an unaffiliated donor, but you don’t see the point of joining the Summit County Democratic Party. Here’s something to think about:

  • Most of the Summit County Dems' work focuses on supporting local and state candidates who represent Summit County. At present, NO Summit County resident sits in the Utah Legislature.

  • The DNC provides funding to Democratic local organizations based on the number of registered Dems. So the more voters who are registered Democratic, the more resources we have to help elect local officials.

  • Voters have the power to elect politicians into or out of office, and elected officials monitor the size and change of party registrations in their districts. More Dems means we have a greater voice in decisions that affect our lives.

  • What are your priorities, and how do the parties’ priorities line up with your values and beliefs? NOTE: The GOP has changed dramatically.

Think of how different things might be if we had more Democrats representing us?

To change party registration:

  1. Visit the Summit County Clerk’s Office in Coalville or download the Party Affiliation Change Form and return it by email, mail, or in-person to the Summit County Clerk's Office.

  2. Go online at: https://vote.utah.gov/register-to-vote-or-update-your-voter-registration/

  3. Attend our “Registration Party” on March 17 at 5:00 at Park City High School. If you are a new citizen or resident, have moved within Summit County recently, or are not registered, you may register using one of these 3 methods.

Join us on March 17th as we celebrate our new Summit County Democrats and meet the Democratic candidates vying to represent Summit County in 2026.
